Nancy Kawaja is an educator with the Ottawa Catholic School Board(OCSB). She has held several teaching positions around the world and within the OCSB, from high school classroom teacher, then within the Special Education and Student Services department as ASD Support teacher and her current role as Itinerant Resource teacher for Assistive Technology. Nancy is excited to support students as they navigate their learning path finding the accessibility and assistive technology tools to meet their needs. She is also an Apple Distinguished Educator.
|From Kindergarten through High School, students are learning, creating, and sharing with the accessibility of iPad. Right out of the box, iPad is accessible and acceptable. In this session, Nancy will share how iPad has impacted Special Education, K-12 within the Ottawa Catholic School Board. There will be an overview of accessibility features and how these features can allow students to access curriculum and share their voice. You will see how all students can be authors, code and share their voices and more.
